"Envelop" is a long-running series of performance organized by Aether Sound and hosted by Mirror Lab. When I started to feel more confident in composing and performing I made it a goal of mine to one day perform as part of an "Envelop" bill. On May 15th of 2025 I was fortunate enough to do so alongside Diane Oxide as well as Luke Martin and Gabriel Saloman.
For this performance I had two m8's running one long-form ambient-then-dark electronic piece. One of them formed the main composition with the other playing more incidental or material re-recorded after being processed by a Bastl FX Wizard from the first m8. The two m8 units then went into two channels of my trusty Bastl Bestie and then into a recently built Norns Shield XL running the fantastic Barcode patch.
