“Drone Not Drones” – January 2025

"Drone Not Drones" is a yearly fundraising event for Doctors Without Borders hosted by the Cedar Cultural Center. As of this writing it is a continuous twenty-eight hour continuous series of audiovisual performances. I was fortunate to get the opporunity to play at "Drone not Drones X", their tenth in the seriess.

My setup for this performance was as follows:

• Dirtywave m8 - main composition source and semi-random sonic events.
• Octatrack - used to process the Dirtywave m8 but mainly for loops of drones recorded from my Eurorack modular system.
• Zoom L8 - final mix control as well as additional tracks of long, single-take drone recordings from the Eurorack modular system.
• Erae Touch - MIDI control of various parameters on the Octatrack.
