"Enter the Void" is a monthly series organized by Xochi de la Luna where every month the vibe and line-up changes. The vibe of this lineup was kind of "doom / drone / electronics". I was fortunate to get invited to perform as a result of my performance in January at "Drone Not Drones" at the Cedar Cultural Center on January 26th, 2025.
My goal for this performance was to do as much as possible with as little gear as possible. This meant really leaning into the my pair of Dirtywave m8's - which are the current workhorses of my compositions. One of them was loaded with an adjusted version of the performance I did at "Drone Not Drones" in January and the other was loaded with a complementary composition. Those were both fed into two channels of the Bastl "Bestie" mixer (with the third channel used for feedback, adding a lot of low-end to the mix). The resulting mix was then sent into a 1010 Music "Lemondrop" for granular processing. That was controlled by a Faderfox EC4, giving me some much needed knobs to interface with the Lemondrop.
The output of the Lemondrop was ran into two channels of Zoom L8 (not pictured) - which featured a few channels of drones for texture. All of this fit into two cases that were very easy to transport and quick to setup.
